The government's proposal to ban bump stocks is getting pushback from Gun Owners of America and Gun Owners Foundation. The groups say the accessory does not transform a semi-automatic rifle into an automatic one as defined by law. It's also feared the ruling would foster regulatory creep to outlaw other devices.

I fear the "regulatory creep" is already under way. They are banning certain firearms piece by piece. Bump Stocks are just the latest piece.

Sorry but bump stocks do indeed perform much like automatic weapons. I don't like regulatory creep either but when people play games with the rules regulatory creep is bound to happen. That's like saying it's okay to drive 75 in a 70 zone because the cops will ignore you.

75 in a 70 zone you better be over near the shoulder or you'll get run over, for real

bottom line the stock does not convert an AR to select fire or full auto, the trigger is depressed for every discharge

can you believe the Franklin Armory binary trigger was deemed legal?

it fires when the trigger is depressed and when the trigger is released, legal to the definition established by the alphaBTAFExyz
