Good afternoon!
Would anyone know where I can buy a slide for a 383-a?

I have one that I bought as a backup gun years ago.
I was shooting it about 10 years ago and the slide broke under the muzzle.

I would like to start using it again and at this point it is a pretty paperweight:)

Thanks in advance!
Jim

I looked on ebay, Gunbroker, and Numrich Gun Parts but they don't have one. It's not going to be easy unless some is selling one for parts only. Check the classified forum here. Good luck and Happy Holidays

Look here (http://www.gunbroker.com/item/607951218)for a Bersa 380 Semi Auto Parts Kit for a 383-A. Good luck.

Wouldn't a thunder slide fit?
Give me some hope I've got a 30yr 383a myself.

There are two variations of Thunder 380 slides. Neither is a "drop on". Both may be "fitted" but will require modifications.

pollyb,
Quick question, will the recoil spring for the latest Thunders still work in the 383-a?
Thanks in advance!

One more question I think:)
I was able to remove the safety but how in the world does the firing pin come out?
This slide is the old type without the safety on the bottom.

Look here (http://web.archive.org/web/20080604075811/http://bersachapterhouse.50webs.com:80/manual1c.html) for written instructions (the pictures disappeared long ago). This is an excellent narrative and will help immensely.:thumbs up: (this is found on the WayBack Machine)
