The .380 Grand model is also manufactured in 9x18. Just not imported into the USA. If it was I would buy one.

I have a Bulgarian PM, CZ82, and two Poland pieces in 9x18. Ammo is cheap and plentiful.

I have the Imez IJ70.....I think thats how you spell it.....but anyway I haven't looked at 9x18 in a long time......I might buy some ammo for it.
I had to look it up...I paid $149 in 1996 for it new...I have put very few rounds through it.

I might let yall see it ...if you behave.

I was in the guard with a Culpeper...... if you are from Alabama and are nearing 70....we might be old buddies. I haven't seen Culpeper since the mid-70's.

Well, if your gonna have a pistol in 9x18mm, better stock up on the ammo....seeing as though nobody fields that caliber anymore.

I was still thinking about cheesecake, and now you throw in pickles. Not a good combination. Just going to block out thoughts of pickles...not working. Pickle cheesecake, yuck.

    Re: Import 9x18 and .380

Since you own and like the Makarov, as do I, I can see where the 9x18 Makarov version of the Grand Power would be very enticing. The 9x18 being slightly more powerful than the .380 makes for a nice small defensive pistol cartridge which I have always liked rather well. Putting it into a nice more modern CZ75 type design would update your arm to a modern pistol companion for the Makarov. Your choice makes perfect sense to me, and if they imported it, I just might pick one up myself, especially since the smallish sights on my old all time favorite pistol my East German Makarov keep seeming to shrink and I have always been a fan of the CZ75 design.
