Do you keep your extra magazines loaded, and for how long?

Hey everyone, quick question and I hope to hear lots of suggestions/opinions.

I am proud to own the:
    FS 22 with four magazines.
    380 CC with two magazines
    9UC with three magazines

I carry the 380 IWB when wearing summer clothes, and the 9 OWB when it fits my outfit.

Should I keep all the magazinesthat I have loaded? I do not as of now. I keep one magazine in the 380 and one of the 9mm loaded at all times. Right now, all the rest of magazines are empty. Is it ok to keep the extra magazines loaded in the safe, or is it best to store the extra mags empty? What do you all think, and do?

Is it ok to keep a magazine loaded, sitting in a safe for a long time?

I keep all mags loaded at all times as a general rule. You can leave them loaded for decades with no ill effects.

    DITTO....

I keep them loaded until used.... Length of time has no affect on them; had several that were indeed loaded for well over 10 years and they worked just fine. What do you do with your car when it is not being used? You park it.... Cars are full of compressed springs.

I was concerned about my spring losing tension and initially had last round feed problems. I did the oven bake off thing mention here in the forum
    http://www.bersachat.com/forums/show...highlight=oven
    but that probably wasn't necessary.

There is no need to heat treat your springs unless they have already lost enough tension to be the cause of feeding problems.

An unloaded mag is about as useless as tits on a boar hog.

I keep my Bersa mags loaded 24/7 now that I got the loader thingy from Bersa. The springs in the Bersa mags could use a little softening.

That sounds like good signature line materal......
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Bersa Chat Zone!
