    CORBON DPX 380ACP/80gr. Ammo Test

Here's a ammo test involving the CorBon DPX 380ACP against 4 layers of denim & water jugs. The DPX ammo was fired from the Bersa Thunder 380 (3.5" barrel) at a distance of 8 feet (2.66 yards).* I did a similar ammo test about a year & a half ago with the same results. Such a great JHP it deserved a improved & updated video report.

A Big Thank You to our member, gschnarr, for this donation of water jugs & denim plus his support.

That mother opens up the same way every time, the quality control in manufacture must be on the money with these rounds. My little P-3AT in my pocket is loaded with them. I will step up to the plate and pay the additional cost of Cor-Bon DPX...My life one day may depend on it.

hard to argue with such dang consistent results.....makes me want to start using the x-bullets in my rifle when i roll my own i've had several less than spectacular results with many of them plastic tipped suckers over the years so maybe the solid copper as used in the cor-bon is the way to go.....well atleast its a good excuse for working up and testing a whole batch of new loads

I know you were shooting at 24 feet with the .380 but that's about the same penetration I got from the DPX .32 acp at 10 feet.

Fly, do you have access to a .32 acp pistol?

A co-worker of mine used them on an elk hunt and he said he was very impressed with the performance.

No Mr. Bronson, I do not. The add in my local newspaper totally failed too. No responses with a new possible outdoor firing range. I ran it for 3 weeks too. Had there been one I might have had the opportunity on a .32 caliber handgun.

Re: CORBON DPX 380ACP/80gr. Ammo Test

The 32 DPX is close in real FPS and of course a little lighter bullet I would expect similar performance. The difference in the 2 rounds in small pistols at SD distance. isn't all that great.

Wow, that was unexpected to say the least.
